Where it started
We met in the queue for bad coffee at a design conference neither of us wanted to attend. Hans was there for the free tote bag. Melinda was there for the talk he had just walked out of.
Two cities
Three years of Jakarta and Singapore, of last flights out on Sunday nights and calls that ran until one of us fell asleep first. We learned that distance is only expensive if you are not sure.
The question
On the balcony of the flat we had just signed for, with nothing in it but a mattress and a kettle. Melinda said yes before the sentence was finished, which Hans maintains does not count.
And now
We would rather not do the next part without you in the room. Come early, stay late, and dance badly with us.
